It was about that time we also set up a small blueberry and strawberry patch. Unfortunately time and weeds were against us and won. We lost all our strawberries and had to get a whole new batch last year. This time, I built one raised bed and am working on completing a second. They are 4 feet wide by 32 feet long and are about 2 feet tall. The varieties we are growing and will be transplanting to the new raised beds are:
- Allstar
- Eversweet™
- Honeoye
- Jewel
- Ozark Beauty
- Sparkle
- Tristar
- Wonderful Pineberry™
As for the blueberries they are alright. All be it bit smaller than i’d like as they are around 3 years old now. We have 6 varieties consisting of:
- Atlantic
- Bluecrop
- Blueray
- Herbert
- Ivanhoe
- Jersey
Last year we also picked up some raspberry plants and plan on building a trellis near the blueberry and strawberry patch. We went with 3 varieties:
- Double Gold
- Encore Red
- Prelude Red
